Downloads

- pollen_angel_win.zip

Contains the game and emulator to run it in. Just launch the .bat file to run the game.

- roms.zip 

Contains just the raw binaries for use with an emulator of your choice. When downloaded the file will be called 'pacman.zip' and the romset name for Mame is 'pacman'. 

- roms_mspac_bootleg.zip

Roms for bootleg boards of Ms Pacman, under the romset name 'mspacmab' in Mame.

Hopefully browser and Mac versions to follow when I can get a specialist Pacman emulator to build.....

Although these roms have Pacman in the name so that the emulators will recognise them, none of the original Pacman code or graphics assets remain. All contents of the two gfx roms and four code/data roms have been created for Ludum Dare 52. The remaining roms concerning colour palettes and sound waveforms are unchanged.

If you want to run it in your own version of Mame or other emulator, you may find you need to run from the command line to enable you to bypass the rom checksum verification. They may still complain about this but you'll still be able to run the game.

Real Hardware

If you are lucky enough to have an original pacman or ms pacman bootleg PCB and the means to burn roms for them, you should only need to replace the .5e, .5f, .6e and .6f roms for Pacman and 5e, 5f, boot1 and boot2 roms for Ms Pacman.
